The Way I See It

Writing a story is an act of filtering—filtering events in life the way we filter the words spoken to us. Through filtering, we attain focus, which enables the beauty and the pain of moments to shine clear. Writing a story simulates the natural filtering system we develop with age, which maintains the prized moments from life in crystal condition.

And knowing what to say and what to leave between the lines makes all the difference.

  1. This made me think of when Starbucks used to print a random quote or paragraph on the side of their paper coffee cups a few years back. These musings, aptly titled 'The Way I See It', seemed to be a wisdom passed around with the coffee. I always looked forward to my daily dose of prose! I wonder why they stopped doing that...

  2. And that made me think of when you used to create newsletters. I always looked forward to that too :P

Tell me what you're thinking.
